LEAVING Refunds & cancellation
No phone call, no retention queue, no three emails asking you to reconsider. This page says what happens to money you have already paid, and how cancelling actually works.
This page is about
What your business pays VoltsBook for the software.
It is not about
What your customers pay you through your booking page. That money goes straight from them to your own Stripe, PayPal or Square account and never touches ours — so we cannot refund it, and you can, from the appointment, in one click. Your own refund terms are yours to set and to publish.
MONEY Your subscription
Costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund. It is not a trial with a longer fuse — it stays free, and we will not move a feature out of it to sell it back.
Fourteen days with everything switched on and no card required. Nothing is charged when it ends; you land on the free plan rather than losing access to your data.
Cancel whenever you like and you keep everything until the date you have paid through. We do not pro-rate a part-used month — the access you paid for is access you get, right to the end of it.
Annual is charged once and works out at ten months for twelve. Cancel within 14 days of that charge and we refund it in full. After that, you keep the year you bought and it does not renew.
ALWAYS No argument
Write to support@voltsbook.com and it is done. You do not have to make a case for any of these.
HOW Cancelling
The whole thing happens in your own settings. There is no form to email, nobody to get past, and no window in which cancelling is unavailable.
Everything about the subscription lives on one screen: which plan you are on, what you have paid, and when it renews.
You are shown the real alternatives first — moving to the free plan, or pausing — because most people who reach this screen want one of those rather than to leave.
A short reason, and your business name typed out. The typing exists so a cancellation is never an accidental click, not to talk you out of it.
Appointments, customers, payments. Take it before or after; the export stays available for the whole paid-through period.
Nothing is deleted when you cancel. If you come back inside the period, the button says Resume and everything is where you left it.
WHY On purpose
Making cancellation hard is a well-known way to hold a monthly number up for a quarter. It is also the thing that turns a customer who might have come back into one who tells people not to.
So the cancel path is written in the code with a note above it recording that it must stay one form, that access runs to the paid-through date, and that resume is one click — and that nobody is to "improve" it into a funnel later. It is a deliberate decision, not an oversight we have not got round to.
This page is a plain description of how billing works, not a contract. The full terms are being prepared with counsel; nothing here will contradict them. Questions: support@voltsbook.com. See also terms.
