Ceramic coating being applied to a car at Logan’s Auto Detailing

Logan’s Auto Detailing & Coating, Los Angeles

09:12 The problem

A detailer’s menu is not a list of services. It is a grid: what the job is, crossed with what has turned up on the forecourt. The same full detail is three hours on a Fiesta and five on a Transit, and quoting one price for both loses money on one and the job on the other.

Most booking software makes you choose between one price that is wrong for half your customers, or a form that asks a stranger to classify their own vehicle.

Size is the top of the menu

Small, medium and large cars sit as their own categories, each with its own full detail and wash-and-wax at its own duration and price. A customer picks what they drive first, which is the thing they actually know.

All-day jobs still fit

A ten-hour ceramic coating is offered only at the one start time that fits inside your opening hours, so it can never be booked at three in the afternoon and left half done.

Deposits on the big ones

Ask for a deposit on the coating and leave the wash frictionless. Set per service, so the rule follows the job rather than the business.

Coating is a different sale

Ceramic coating sits as its own category rather than a fourth size, because it is a different job on a different visit, quoted after inspection.

08:00 A day on it

What the day actually looks like.

  1. 08:00 A booking lands overnight for a medium car full detail, deposit already taken.
  2. 09:30 The car arrives. The job is on the board with its buffer, so nobody books over the clean-down.
  3. 13:00 A walk-in wants a coating. You quote from the same menu, take a deposit and put it in for Thursday.
  4. 17:00 Tomorrow’s customers get their reminder, one text each, one segment each.
  5. 18:00 The day’s takings are one figure, whether the money came by card online or on the machine.

ASKED Questions

What auto detailing businesses ask.

Can I charge different prices for different vehicle sizes?
Yes — that is how the auto detailing setup arrives. Small, medium and large cars are separate categories, each with its own priced services, and you can add or rename sizes.
How do I handle a job that runs over two days?
Book the second day as its own appointment. The two-layer coating in the starter menu says so in its description, so the customer knows before they book.
Can I add an engine bay clean as an extra?
It is already there, priced separately for each vehicle size, because it takes longer on a van than a supermini.
How long does it take to set up auto detailing booking?
Minutes. Choosing “Auto detailing” at signup creates 8 services with durations, prices, opening hours and a first team member. Change or delete any of it — nothing is locked.
Do my customers need an app?
No. They open a link and book in a browser. Nothing to install and no account required.
What does it cost?
There is a free plan, forever. Paid plans add the money and scale features, and every account starts with fourteen days of everything switched on. No card to begin.
Can I move across from another system?
Yes. Customers, services, staff and appointment history import from most booking systems or an older VoltsBook, keeping the original booking numbers so a regular quoting a number still finds their appointment.
