09:12 The problem

Grooming is priced by the animal, and the animal is not standardised. The same full groom is ninety minutes on a terrier and half a day on a doodle, and a single price for both is a price that is wrong twice.

Priced by size

Groom and bath arrive priced by size, so the quote matches the dog rather than the average dog.

Long jobs do not overrun the day

A four-hour groom is only offered where it fits, so it cannot be booked at four o’clock.

The details you need beforehand

Ask for the breed, temperament and anything you need to know as part of booking, so the first you hear of it is not when the van arrives.

08:00 A day on it

What the day actually looks like.

  1. 08:30 The first dog arrives; the booking already says which breed and how it behaves with clippers.
  2. 11:00 A booking for a large dog goes into the only slot long enough for it.
  3. 17:00 Tomorrow’s owners get a reminder with the drop-off time.
  4. 18:00 Repeat customers are visible, so the eight-week regulars can be chased.

ASKED Questions

What pet grooming businesses ask.

Can I price by dog size?
Yes — that is how the pet grooming setup arrives, with groom and bath priced separately by size.
Can I ask about temperament before they book?
Yes. Custom forms collect what you need at booking, with conditional questions where they apply.
What if a groom takes longer than booked?
Add buffer time to the service so the following slot is protected, and adjust the appointment afterwards if it ran over.
How long does it take to set up pet grooming booking?
Minutes. Choosing “Pet grooming” at signup creates 6 services with durations, prices, opening hours and a first team member. Change or delete any of it — nothing is locked.
Do my customers need an app?
No. They open a link and book in a browser. Nothing to install and no account required.
What does it cost?
There is a free plan, forever. Paid plans add the money and scale features, and every account starts with fourteen days of everything switched on. No card to begin.
Can I move across from another system?
Yes. Customers, services, staff and appointment history import from most booking systems or an older VoltsBook, keeping the original booking numbers so a regular quoting a number still finds their appointment.
