09:12 The problem

Training mixes two shapes of appointment: private sessions that take one person, and group classes that take a headcount. Booking software built for one usually handles the other badly.

Classes count heads

A group session has a capacity and fills up eight times before it closes, rather than being taken by the first person to book.

Blocks of sessions

Sell ten sessions and let the system count them down, so nobody is arguing about how many are left.

Early mornings and late evenings

Your week is your week. Hours are per person, so a 6am start and an 8pm finish are ordinary rather than a workaround.

08:00 A day on it

What the day actually looks like.

  1. 06:00 The first session of the day, booked last week, with a reminder sent last night.
  2. 12:00 A class fills to capacity and stops being offered.
  3. 16:40 A block of ten is sold; the first is used immediately.
  4. 18:00 Remaining credits per client are visible without opening a spreadsheet.

ASKED Questions

What personal trainer or gym businesses ask.

Can I cap the number of people in a class?
Yes. Group services carry a capacity, and the class closes when it is full.
Can I sell blocks of sessions?
Yes. A package holds a number of credits, spent one per booking and returned exactly once if a session is cancelled.
Does it work if I train at several gyms?
Yes — locations are supported, and a service can be offered at some and not others.
How long does it take to set up personal trainer or gym booking?
Minutes. Choosing “Personal trainer or gym” at signup creates 5 services with durations, prices, opening hours and a first team member. Change or delete any of it — nothing is locked.
Do my customers need an app?
No. They open a link and book in a browser. Nothing to install and no account required.
What does it cost?
There is a free plan, forever. Paid plans add the money and scale features, and every account starts with fourteen days of everything switched on. No card to begin.
Can I move across from another system?
Yes. Customers, services, staff and appointment history import from most booking systems or an older VoltsBook, keeping the original booking numbers so a regular quoting a number still finds their appointment.
