Barbering runs on a tight grid. Appointments are twenty to forty-five minutes, most customers come back on a rhythm, and a fifteen-minute hole in the afternoon is a cut you did not do.
The software problem is not complexity. It is speed: booking has to take a customer ten seconds on a phone, and the chair has to be right.
Regulars ask for a name. New customers take whoever is available soonest. Both work from the same page without anyone choosing wrongly.
A skin fade that always takes forty-five minutes is booked as forty-five, so the next customer is not sitting in the window at quarter past.
Saturday is the day a no-show hurts. A small deposit on peak slots is enough to change who turns up without putting anyone off.
