Booking rules → Booking page. Customers then see the option on any day with nothing free, and choose the day they want rather than a specific time.

What happens on a cancellation
The earliest person waiting for that day is notified with a link straight back to it. They get a window of first refusal; after that their turn passes to the next person rather than being offered again.

Nothing is held
A waiting-list place is not a reservation — claiming it means booking it, first come first served. Holding the slot would out-rank the customers already booking normally, which is not a trade worth making.
Worth knowing
- Working the list by hand is fine too: the screen shows who is waiting for what, and you can call whoever you like.
- An expired turn is final, which is what keeps the queue moving to the next person.
